After trimming all known variable costs to the bare minimum, management asked RecessD for a wireless Building Automation System (BAS) proposal.
Our proposal took three weeks to prepare. The installed cost of $40,000 was offset by $30,000 in rebates. Annual energy savings were projected at $58,000.
Installation was completed quickly with wireless controls and sensors added to equipment throughout the building. HVAC Units, Exhaust Fans, Pool Heater and Pumps, Conference Rooms, and Vestibule Heaters that previously ran 24/7, all suddenly found themselves on a much less demanding schedule. Reduced R&M is expected to be significant.
Payback on Net Cost (after received Rebates) was less than 60 days. Actual annual energy savings of $75,000/yr have increased the value of this property significantly.
